About Us
Our Story
Founded in 1844, Reifsnider Farm is a family enterprise that has provided the community with healthy, local food for seven generations on land that once belonged to Francis Scott Key of Star-Spangled Banner fame. Rebecca (Reifsnider) Conrad and her husband, Kyle Conrad, continue the legacy as the newest operators of the farm. They are joined by Rebecca’s parents, Jon and Deb Reifsnider, who are hands-on at the farm, and her sister, Sarah (Reifsnider) Brentlinger and her husband Jon Brentlinger who assist virtually from their home in Florida. Reifsnider Farm has adapted to customers’ needs and the whims of the market over the years. David L. and Daisy Pearl Reifsnider, Rebecca’s great-grandparents, grew wheat as a cash crop. David M. and Vesta Reifsnider, Rebecca's grandparents, ran it as a dairy farm, and Jon and Deb Reifsnider switched to raising beef. A large vegetable garden supplying fresh, holistic produce was the start of Kyle and Rebecca’s dream for the farm, and they planted the seeds in 2021. Today the farm is continuing to grow and thrive, focusing on expanding both beef and garden elements to provide fresh, healthy, and quality food to the community.
