Shipping policy

Order Processing

All orders are processed in the order they are received. Please allow 2-5 business days for order processing prior to shipment. During high-demand periods, processing times may be slightly extended. Customers will receive a confirmation email once their order has been placed and another notification when the order has shipped.

Shipping Methods

We ship our products using trusted carriers to ensure safe and timely delivery. All beef products are shipped frozen and packaged in insulated boxes with dry ice or ice packs to maintain proper temperature during transit.

Shipping options and costs will be calculated at checkout.

Shipping Days

To ensure product quality, orders are typically shipped the 1st Monday of every month. This helps avoid delays or packages sitting in transit over weekends, and allows us to accumulate enough orders to merit our travel and packaging supplies. Orders placed later than the 1st Monday of the month will ship the following month.

Local Pickup Option

Customers may choose free local pickup at our farm or designated pickup locations (such as partner locations, when available). You will receive an email with pickup details and scheduling instructions once your order is ready.

Delivery Area

At this time, we ship within the continental United States, specifically the East Coast and parts of the mid-West. You can find a complete list of the states to where we ship on our Local Pickup & Shipping page.

Perishable Product Policy

Because our beef, tallow, and certain produce items are perishable, it is the customer's responsibility to ensure someone is available to receive the package upon delivery. Packages should be opened immediately and products placed in the freezer or refrigerator as appropriate.

We are not responsible for product loss or damage due to:

  • Incorrect shipping addresses
  • Delivery delays caused by carriers
  • Packages left unattended after delivery

Damaged or Delayed Orders

If your order arrives damaged or thawed beyond safe temperatures, please contact us within 24 hours of delivery. Include photos of the packaging and product so we can evaluate and make it right when possible.

Weather & Seasonal Considerations

Shipping perishable goods depends on weather conditions. During extreme heat or cold, we may delay shipments to ensure your order arrives in optimal condition. We appreciate your understanding as we prioritize product quality and safety.

Bulk Beef Orders

Bulk Beef Shares (1/4, 1/2, whole) are not shipped and are instead scheduled for local pickup after processing. In some cases, shipping may be arranged individually-please contact us directly to discuss options.
